Undergraduate COURSES
FALL 2009

2009-2010 catalog entry.
.
.

THE UNIVERSITY STUDIES PROGRAM consists of current faculty, emeritus faculty, and collaborating colleagues who have joined with one another to explore and possibly transcend the disciplinary boundaries that define and sometimes constrain them. Faculty collaborate and explore the boundaries between disciplines in the context of Faculty Colloquies, Conferences, and Undergraduate Course offerings.

UNDERGRADUATE COURSES are typically collaborative and transdisciplinary offerings presented by University Studies faculty

.

Most University Studies Courses are taught by faculty who are themselves exploring new territory:
"Some experience of popular lecturing had convinced me that the necessity of making things plain to uninstructed people
was one of the very best means of clearing up the obscure corners in ones own mind."
(TH Huxley (1825:95); Mans Place in Nature)
